Time goes by really fast, which is why it is important to take some time and look back at what has been achieved. Our first year’s mandate at the helm of the Funio vessel, was to renew the old management interfaces, as well as update near obsolete technologies that we had been accumulating over the past 10 years. On the other hand, 2013 was a year dedicated to the improvement of our products and services, based on the foundations we had laid the year before.
These enhancements, that were aligned with our perpetual objective to simplify and facilitate your hosting management experience, can be categorized on three different levels.
1. Infrastructure Updates
- Update cPanel to version 11.38, giving us access to new functionalities and enhanced security
- Reconfigured ModSecurity, allowing us a more desirable control over hacking attempts
- Added CageFS to further enhance hosting account security
- Replacemed of over 20 physical servers, therefore offering optimal performances
2. Additional Functionalities & Products
- Setup of PHP5.5, in addition to PHP Selector that allows the selection of your favourite PHP version
- Microsoft technology updates: Windows 2012, SQL Server 2012 and ASP .Net 4.5
- Added Git and SSH to the Developer’s Heaven hosting plan
- New service: the Panelbox Private Infrastructure, for customers that have larger needs
- New hosting plan: the Optimal Hosting plan, for resource hungry websites
3. Overall Customer Experience Improvement
- Added, in the Customer Hub, bulk domain name management
- Consolidation of the DNS management platform in our Customer Hub
- Simplified the presentation and navigation of the Products section of the Customer Hub
- Improved the training of our customer service in order to provide a faster and more efficient service
- Greater social network presence so we can answer our customers that use these platforms
And how can we forget our referral program that can give you up to $50 for every new customer referred to Funio! Those are only our main 2013 projects, because (obviously) many other improvements have been implemented throughout the year. 2014 promises to be just as exciting, filled with surprises and novel ideas! We can never say it enough: we wish to partake in the success of your web projects, just as much as you are part of our own success.
